Installation

The OBC 5100 is designed so that it is easy to install.  Three wires, (positive 12 volt, switched 12 volt and ground) are quickly connected with patented PosiTap connectors.  All components, unit, wires, antennas, everything goes under the dashboard.  Everything necessary for the installation is included in the installation kit that comes with the OBC5100. An installation guide can be found by clicking here. Depending on the complexity of the vehicle, many units are installed in under an hour. On-Board’s provides additional help in answering any installation questions that may come up.

Professional installation is also available at many locations throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico that specialize in auto stereo installation. Facilities like this usually can be found in the local Yellow Book under the heading of “Auto Radio and Stereo Sales” or “Auto Alarm & Security Systems”. Prices for the installation will very depending upon the installer’s hourly rate and the level of complexity of the installation in your vehicle.
